I am stuck in the general store. The cursor will now only move side to side, not up and down.
What to Do, please?
Thanks

Quitting the game, restarting it and reloading the saved marker position doesn't fix it ?

I have encountered this problem with this release myself. Only closing the game and restarting it will allow you to get the cursor to work again. However, the problem really does not go away. You will likely encounter it again from time to time. Save frequently and be prepared to close and restart when it happens again. I really do not think there is anything that can be done with it codewise at this time. Maybe DosBox will receive an update that can address such issues in this and similar games...
My Phatsamagoria installer is my most tested and used installer, and nobody ever reported such an error. Can you post the contents of your RESOURCE.CFG and the dosbox.conf file so I can take a look?

I got this issue myself a couple of times. I had to quit and restart, but like mentioned above, the issue would creep up every now and again.
You can grab the files you requested here.
Based on the RESOURCE.CFG, they used my installer to prepare the game for their packaging, again, they used an old dosbox.conf from 0.72, not 0.73. Try this for the conf file:
[sdl]
output= opengl
fullresolution= 0x0
windowresolution= 800x600
fullscreen= true
autolock= true
[render]
scaler= normal3x
[cpu]
core= normal
cycles= 15000
[autoexec]
cls
@ECHO OFF
mount C "."
cls
c:
sierra .\resource.cfg
exit

That’s very shady of GOG to use your work without giving you credit, Collector, let alone not even sending you a note of permission. As everyone who’s needed help on these forums know, Collector has come to the rescue and has donated much of his free time in getting these old Sierra games to work. He’s dedicated a whole site (www.sierrahelp.com) to get Sierra oldies to run on newer machines. And GOG has the audacity to use his hard work and claim it as their own? Come on, GOG, man-up and either give this guy some credit or come up with your own ways to fix up these games.
I appreciate the fact that GOG has offered these games but I am very disappointed to hear they would stoop to this level.

im also having this problem and i dont know how to fix this
Best way to "fix" it is as mentioned earlier; save OFTEN.
It also happened from time to time in the original 7-CD release, at least in the one I had. Same thing; you learned to save often.
Of course, the copy I have is about 15 years old now, and that might have something to do with it :p
Still happening in the most inconvenient moments and I save often :)
I am having the same problem. I was just about to post a thread asking the same thing
If anyone is still having this issue, I have found a temporary fix that works for me that at least allows you to save before quitting and restarting the game.

The problem seems to be some lost frame of reference for the boundaries of the cursor. What worked for me is moving the cursor to the far bottom right of the screen, minimizing the game with alt+tab or Windows key, then the game should be in a window instead of full screen. Click back into the game window in the bottom right of the game screen where your cursor is. You should now be able to access the whole screen with the cursor.

It is only temporary, though, and once the issue happens it seems that it will recur within a few clicks. So the only thing you should do is save and quit, then reopen the game.

Hope this helped someone!
