In the game Perimeter, I'm unable to complete the mission named "Krugh", which is scenario number 8.
Searching Google, I've discovered that this scenario stymied many (most?) other persons. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a "fix". I've tried the various combat strategies suggested, and none of them work, not even close.

I came across a supposed "Cheat" and can't figure it out. I need help deciphering this:

*****

If you can't pass this mission find file "data" (X:\Games\PERIMETER\RESOURCE\Saves\Profile0\), open it by notepad, and change "lastMissionNumber=8" to "lastMissionNumber=9"

Of course you can unlock all missions. File "data" and notepad, nothing more. But it is very very very bad

***********

I was able to locate a folder under Perimeter that was named "Profile0" but it does not contain anything named "lastMissionNumber=8".
What it contains is only this:

07biodamageattap
DAT file

07biodamageattap.sph
SPH File

07biodamageattap.gmp
GMP File

data
File

07biodamageattap.spg
SPG File

I don't understand the instruction to "open with Notepad". That option does not appear when I right click.

Post Script: various attempts to re-number the scenarios resulted in the game
failing to launch. I've had to delete the entire game and as I post am in the process of downloading it again.

I am guessing that the process is, start mission No. 8, Krugh, Save it immediately, then go in and change the numbering of the save.

I posted a video of this mission on the other thread
