sometimes i find a treasurechest that i cannot open.
For example carmellia has a 95% chance to open it and it says: Locked.

Even with a +100% chance with a tool it cannot be opened?!
I tried some buffs and still nothing. I can only break it to get some dust.

Got it at 1. dungeon in the underground now. Rly annoying. Is there a possibility to open it?

I do not remember such a bug or issue in that dungeon. I do remember it could not open correctly when the treasure chest is trapped. Also some things have a pick pocket button but are magically sealed. However, in both cases you should not be able to break them.

In doubt: hit ALT+B and submit a bug report with a save file and eventually your email, so the developers can have a look.

A useful work around for most issues: save and reload. A lot of issues with the game are loading issues at the moment.

But that did not work at all.
If something requires a roll you can usually see what result your character has rolled. This also goes for characters that open locks.

There are basically two ways to fail at open a lock: not meeting its DC (roll height) or by rolling a 'natural 1' (with the exception of some classes that might get around at natural 1's but I doubt that is the case here).

Magically closed locks (through arcane locks) get a DC increased but should not be impossible to open (unless owncat altered that system) with skill monkeys, though removing the spell makes it easier.

If one of those two conditions are not met you should be open the lock.

If the above is not the case best to report with alt+B.
Yes youre right. Normally with +rolls+ i can see the result.

But sometimes there is nothing like trickery roll..it says just: locked :/

I found the same issue, I think the given percentages are calculated wrongly. E.g. the game gave me an expected percentage of 95%. I failed to open the chest abnd in the logs I saw that the calculation was a DC of 20 versus a skill value of 10 which would be rather a chance of 50%

Natural ones are NO automatic failure for skill checks btw. Auto failures on a one only apply to saving throws and attack rolls

Whoops, you are right. No critical failures for skill checks.
