I was having a blast till the 3rd act, first the act wasnt even reachable with out using a hack program to bring greybor back to life. Then they gave you no option to kill the queen and keep your armies and zig. Which is beyond stupid. So now that i spent 50 hours building all that up its just gone, to be replaced with the abyss, which OMFG is the worst designed level i have ever seen in all my days. They made the walls go up and down, and they trap you for up to 10 mins, of you just sitting there doing jack all because the developers thought it would be cool to do that. Then you got a angle that is forced up your back side regardless of what you do, and is like a invisible bastard judging everything you do, and telling you about it. The 3rd act is so terrible, I started skipping dialogue, and putting the game on ultra easy. I still couldn't bring my self to beat it, it caused to much pain.

Also all the people you meet are all f as far as stats go, you cant use them. Every single one has a horrid build and is useless garbage. They also are not interesting anyways, the only one i thought was good was Ember, but she has so little dialogue, her character is built so badly its useless, and she has no romance options. The gay cleric is boring, and has a garbage quest line about his brother. His first quest is alright. The worthless tiefling thief quest line is really bad, i never talked to him again. The elf noble girl is beyond stupid. The bi noble guy you meet is alright but hes boring after awhile. The scientist fox girl is beyond stupid, and her quest is even more stupid. The gnome hellknight is tolerable. The paladin girl quest line is so garbage, it caused me pain to do her quest. The succubus is just a whinny worthless person that lockers her self in a prison because shes weak and stupid.

The hybrid feature of might and magic, and dnd was good though, i enjoyed it.

Also they just outright lie, your choices dont matter in the slightest. I should of figured they were lying about that, but i had hopes. The character creator is really good though.

O well distracted me for a good 100 hours, before i couldnt take it any more haha. On to better games like D2 rez.

The last thing that sucks, but isnt a pathfinder issue its a GOG issue, you will fill the cloud storage up quickly. I filled it up before even act 3, so either dont save new games, or you have to delete them some how, which i didnt do because i didnt care enough. GOG must be getting cheap or is just poor i guess lol they give you 1000mbs, and its maxed.

I heard from multiple sources that the abyss was one if not the low point in the game. Have you tried using mercenaries?

I wouldn't call all vanilla NPC's bad though, worse compared to Kingmaker I agree. Lann (or should I say the zen archer class) is as solid as it comes for a pure non magical ranged class.

BTW you do not need to delete your savegames just cut and paste them somewhere else, its what I did (compulsory saver here).
I am so sorry, that you decided to burn some essential time of your life with such a bad game. It seems as it does not only insult the very core of your beliefes, but in general consists of bad stories, inconsistent storylines bad writing and so on.
Why did you decided to play it in the very first place?
And if you do not like it so much, why don´t you do other things? Maybe spent time with your girlfriend. Or with your friends in general? Do some sports? Work in a job?
Or do this things offend you as well?

Sir, this is a Wendy's.
lot of emotions over the game mechanics

they should not have done the camera buildings thing in abbys but it's not so bad like you picture it
the buildings move if you aim the camera in the right direction you really don't need to wait 10 mins.

as for "chooses" it's always artificial no game can exist that have 8 games within a single game it's simple like that.
Name one game that "so called chooses" matters it do not exist.

not wanna spoil much but at act 4 you get your army and stuff back
The 3rd act they really failed on narrative, there was no interesting exploration as the world purely existed for the main quest or the companion quests. Until you did the companion quests you weren't high enough level to enjoy any of the content. "Go hunt a dragon" well I tried but it one shots my team, find the crusaders, final battles that one shot you. So you end up just playing crusade simulator in a really artificial way (ie skip day) until companions give you quests so you can leave your kingdom prison. I'd have just liked if there was genuine exploration and quests, so I wasn't just building armies until companions realised the story needed to progress

you know the exist a difficulty settings that you can configure to your play style.
or is your ego the problem here?

The game is easy, I intentionally gimped my character to have an RP playthrough this run, the encounters in the main quest at Act 3 start appear intentionally difficult to give you a feeling of progress when you do beat them.
The way they communicate this is a design problem. First 2 chapters, easy + linear, the obvious intention of Act 3 is to make you to explore the map and manage crusades until companion quests become available.
I can empathise with the OP that this design can create a huge motivation/progression problem as it's not your agency determining your progress and fun, you're waiting for the companion quests to roll in so you can jump on the railroad.

In summary:
When encounters go from easy+linear in Act 2 to giving only the near end chapter encounters (Dragon Hunt and Wintersun) and no meaningful exploration at the start of Act 3, you can understand why people feel bored unless they stick it through and see what the developers intended, because once the companion quests open up at preset times they give you XP like candy, making it easy again.
