Hi folks,

my main character is a warlock (crossed bloodlines, arcane and red dragon). I've just leveled up to level 4, which should grant me access to level 2 spell slots. However, I didn't gain *any* spells on level up, so I don't have any level 2 spells to cast. My stats:

- STR 10
- DEX 14
- CON 13
- INT 12
- WIS 8
- CHA 21

Does anybody see a reason why I didn't gain any new spells? I'm stumped. Is this a bug, or did I miss out on some specific requirement for warlocks?

In other CRPG games I've played in the past you don't always get new spells, though you may have gotten more spell slots.... Check for that.

Spell slot progression is pretty clear, it's shown in the class sheet. However, as far as I know, a warlock should gain one new **spell** per level, which sadly didn't happen for me.
Ah I just checked the PnP rules:
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/sorcerer/archetypes/paizo-sorcerer-archetypes/crossblooded/

It says there that "crossblooded sorcerer has one fewer spell known at each level". The table matches what I'm seeing in-game. This means I'll just have to wait for level 5 to get a new spell.

Warlock?

Do you mean crossblooded sorcerer or crossblooded rager by any chance? I assume crossblooded sorcerer.

You got both the stat (charisma) and the level for you to gain access to level 2 spells at your character level.

Sorcerers automatically get to pick their spells so its not that you only get empty spell slots.

There might be a (farfetched) reason why you did not get level 2 spells: in the pen and paper version crossblooded sorcerers are allowed to pick LOWER level spells for their newly gained spell slots.

If this is possible in WOR this could be the case your character (does your character have more lower levels spells than he should?).

A crossblooded sorcerer also receives 1 spell slot per spell level less than an ordinary sorcerer. That said at level 4 this should still leave you with at least one level 2 spell slot.

Yeah, sorry my bad. I play the german version of the game, and "Hexenmeister" translates both to sorcerer and warlock, which is kinda unfortunate ^_^'

Yeah that actually turned out to be the reason. I looked it up in the PnP rules (link is in my previous post above). A regular sorcerer gets 1 level-2-spell when they reach level 4. Since my character is a crossblood, he gets 1 less than that - meaning: zero. On level 5, the sorcerer gets his second level-2-spell, which is when I'll get my first.

I actually ended up re-rolling the character. Interestingly, the game never provides ANY indication whatsoever that being a crossblood means having access to even fewer spells than a regular sorcerer (I paid special attention to that when I re-rolled the character, and - nothing. Not a single clue).
I checked in-game.

Not only is it not mentioned, the spell slot progression is listed the same as a regular sorcerer. This is an oversight and something that should be reported.
