Its ok its not just Chapter 5 that is broken its the game. The difficulty level is all over the place stll and not having any ability to respec your character just sucks. You spec to face a few types of enemy and then at the end of the game it throws in masses of fey (and i mean masses) who just wreck you with unsavable fort will and reflex whilst they skip around dodging and resisting everything you throw at them, to top it off you cant even leave the f#@king house to change your team once you have entered it.

For some reason you seem to think eveyone is a frigging pathfinder geek.

Jeez i mean how pissed would you be if you brought a car and found out you needed to have a degree in motor vehicles to be able to use it! All you would have is a new garden feature and no garage space.

All i have is a Desktop Icon and wasted HD space!

1) Don't make too many permanent changes just to face your current challenge, especially if you know there is more to come. This is true of any game, not just this one.

2) You can change the game's difficulty settings at any time. There is no shame in using lower settings for your first playthrough. Once you're won, you will have a better idea of what you need for your next character build(s).

3) There are threads on this very forum to guide you in character creation for the end game.

4) If you really need to respec, use third party tools. For example, here's a respec mod. that you can even use to respec your companions back to level 0.

You don't need to be an expert Pathfinder player to play.

There is an encyclopedia in game. If you are having trouble with something in particular you can come here and ask for help. Some monsters (like wisps) become really easy when you learn how to fight them. Get protection form lightning and fighting wisps will be a breeze. Have a stealthy character scout ahead of your party.

Either you crit, hit big and win or you miss miss miss and reload.

What kind of game design is this.

or maybe you need to get better at the game so you don't have to rely on RNG. I am sorry for "git gud" answer, but this is really the case here. Proper build, and spell/ability usage almost removes the random factor, unless you play on unfair.
