Hi folks,

I'm trying to find Tartuccio in the Caverns below Old Sycamore, but I am obviously to blind to find the entrance. )-;

The passage at the tree trunk is blocked (and only inspectable with the magnifying glass), same for the mine entrance in the east.

According to a web walkthrough I should have encountered a conflict between mites and kobolds, but I can't recall seeing that. The only mites I've encountered where in front of the tree and down a path in the southwest guarding a chest, both being aggressive and the only kobolds sleeping in the moon flowers, peacefully parting with half of them.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Lemmy.

You need to trigger the conflict. This will either be by meeting somebody in a different location or (probably, but didn't go this route) by making some choices when you follow him previously at the tomb. Right now Old Sycamore for you is only relevant as the source for the mushrooms that Bekken wants.

Hi LongPike,

you've been absolutely right. Thanks a lot!

I needed to visit a Pine Patch first. Just wish the introductory speech of the watch captain hadn't been so misleading when I arrived at the Sycamore Tree. I've only searched that area for more than two hours with my tab key pinned down with a tooth pick (-;

Thanks again!
Lemmy.
That's right, he says he will mark Tartuccio's location on the map, so you think there will be an exclamation point there, or a journal entry. But what he means is that the 'Pine Patch' location will appear & you need to go there. The problem is, if you didn't realise 'Pine Patch' wasn't there before, then you wouldn't realise that's what he meant. It's not great, I think they could patch the text entry in the journal to give you a hint.
