It seems there are huge performance issues with overlays on my machine (2012 retina 15" MBP running macOS 10.14). With my character on-screen performance is fine, but whenever he's off-screen (trigger the overlay hinting at my character's location) everything starts to stutter until my character is on-screen again.

I haven't even tried leaving the first room due to this issue as it makes it more or less unplayable in addition to most UI elements being very sluggish in general. The 3D game world is rendered fine and is always smoother fps-wise than the UI (other than the off-screen issue, but that seems overlay/UI related as well).

Similar to others I also get
- "first time loading screen" on every start up (takes 1-2mins, but has never failed to load)
- crash on every app exit
- graphics settings reset between sessions (resolution changes *are* saved, however)
- tccd process running at high CPU% in the background

EDIT: Added OS

I can confirm all of the above. I guess, I'll just wait for some more patches an play the game around christmas. X-D

Does this include a sluggish UI and stutter when character is off-screen (with overlay hinting at character location triggered)?

Also, on Mojave, discrete graphics do not seem to activate after starting the game.

I unchecked auto-switch graphics in system prefs (activates the best GPU) which sped up the initial menu animation but not much else. UI is just too sluggish (and, again, the actual 3D-rendered gameplay scene is fine performance wise, beside the off-screen issue...).

I have no problems with the overlay.

The discrete graphics bug is interesting. Thanks for mentioning that. I used gfxCardStatus to check it, and the game indeed does not switch to discrete mode when it starts. I force switched with the tool and the performance really went up.
