How a game where heal spells can kill your character gets positive reviews? I waited for a 90% discount on this title, and got 3.5 hours of gameplay until I hit a situation where, after killing a bear-treant, I went to cast 2 lay on hands and 1 cure moderate wounds and all 3 fail in succession (fake RNG seeds causing statistically impossible results), putting their ward down to 1 or 2 hp.

Is this a real game? What's the reasoning behind design this atrocious? How is it that, within 4 hours I can encounter something so fundamentally game-breaking as killing your toons with heals, and I can go look at thousands of reviews either on here or steam and nobody mentions anything like this? Some kind of joke I'm not getting?
Did you try to heal Jaethal? aka the Undead elf.

Haha, had a good laugh. Next time don't heal undead party members I guess? Or, hmmm, maybe read skills/abilities descriptions before venting frustration? I bet there's a good reason why no one mentioned this "game breaking issue" before lol.

you're right. I'm an idiot. Lol. I didn't even think about that.

I'll bookmark this to show ppl on other forums who gang up on me for being too smart. I mentioned how just days before playing this game for the first time I started digging a garden plot and planted a cherry tree in the backyard. Right in time to hear, the very next day, the antagonist of the game taunt you by saying he'd 'rather go plant a garden and harvest cherries'.

They said for me to take my mystical occurrences and to go someplace else. Maybe they'll like me more if I can show them proof of my fallibility, I can fit in better with them now. I just need to practice up my ability to assault someone with sheer ignorance and i'll be all set. Thanks.
