Sarafan: It's true that the patches often introduce new bugs while fixing older ones. But we can't say that the game is in a bad state at the moment. There are occasional problems here and there, but it's not bad.

p1881: I mean I did try it for a few hours and immediately threw it in the trash bin as it's already obvious during character creation that they couldn't be bothered to provide proper in-game explanations: you're either a Pathfinder veteran who knows the mechanics, or you're forced do read a lot threads/post outside of the game to even understand the basics.
Yeah, this is a problem with the game help when I first started playing the game. Having the built-in encylopedia isn't very useful when you want to look up things you are currently hovering over to get more information (at least you should be taken to the relevant link in the encyclopedia). The encyclopedia is also missing important information like ability point charts (ie things like bonus spells, or the additional carrying capacity given by incrementing a given ability score for example).

I think they should of just kept and developed their original pdf manual, since at least if you have a second display, you can keep a reference up while in game and learning new things. I didn't use the in game encyclopedia, as it was too clunky, and with a second display, I just had www.d20pfsrd.com open most of the time.

The learning curve is very steep, and character design is a farily involved, but it is actually a pretty enjoyable process once you start becoming more comfortable with the rules (I had to respec several times when I learned that certain skills didn't function as I expected).

You probably aren't bothered anymore, but just in case, I recommend starting with the d20pfsrd's page dealing with combat:
https://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat/

I think that was the most helpful link for me as by learning how combat works, I began to understand how to build my character better.
