Because many preset companions have stats are oddly arrayed, multiclass may be a bit difficult for certain characters, especially with many feats not making it in the game.

Therefore, I'm interested in what the community have their companions multiclass into.

Currently, I've Valeria multiclass to a thundercaller bard.

Tower shield does not hinder her spellcasting ability, so I either have her in light armor with tower shield in small fights or wear heavy in more difficulty encounters (abilities can still be used without spellcasting failure, might take still spell if that works).
Would take dragon disciple 4 levels to boost her str since eldritch inheritage feat chains aren't in the game I think.

Also thinking to make Amiri multiclass after lv12 because base barbarians don't seem to get much after that level.

Greater rage to mighty rage only has like +1 improvement for 8 levels, the others bonuses other than extra rage talent don't seem so big. For example +2 to damage reduction doesn't sound impressive at higher campaigns. +4 will is nice to have but she'll survive without it.

What have you in mind with preset companions multiclass into? Share your build.
I made Octavia an Ancane Trickster. It just seemd like the obvious thing to do. :D

I am contemplating Stalwart Defender for Valerie, but since I can't see the class detaisl until the character qualifies, I don't know if it offers anything her base class and Archetype don't already do.
Harrim to fighter he's a reall poor cleric

Thinking abour Tristiam as a Meytic theurge

I'm still new to this game and only made it a couple hours in, but I restarted after I realized I would enjoy the game more if some of my companions were multiclassed. I have an empty slot and im hoping the game allows me to get Valerie, because i've already picked up Jaethal. But I've multiclassed Harrim and Jaethal so I can stack bonuses all over the place

Me (min/maxed) - Two-Handed Fighter
Amiri - Barbarian
Linzi - Bard
Harrim - Tactical Leader
Jaethal - Freebooter
Haha, I made Octavia arcane trickester too.
Harrim is kind hard, so I didn't change him.

Made Jaethal a blight druid with death(? domain so she wouldn't get hurt by positive energy. Her stats seem to work for animal shape (str 16 dex 14) since beast shape doesn't buff constitution but I'm not sure. I'll find out how if she's any good becoming a druid in later campaigns.
Octavia is built to be Arcane Trickster.
Linzi as Bard/Rogue.
Valerie as Stalwart Defender.
Amiri, pure Barbarian with maybe a level or two in Fighter for extra feats.
Jubilost pure Alchemis.
Ekundayo, Ranger or Ranger/Druid.
Regongar, Magus/Fighter or Magus/Barbarian.
Harim, Cleric/Fighter.
Tristian, pure Cleric.
Jaethal, pure Inquisitor.

Other poeple no doubt have other ideas.
