Hi,
I have the GOG version of Party Hard and want to play with friends in a group of four. I’m having trouble getting gamepads to work correctly.

The gamepads I’m using are probably DirectInput only, and I know Party Hard supports only XInput controllers. So I used x360ce (version 4) to emulate XInput, and it worked partially:

I could navigate the menus, but at the player select screen, pressing a button would add two players — probably one for the emulated XInput device and one for the original DirectInput controller.

After using HidHide to hide the original DirectInput controllers from Party Hard (so only the x360ce emulated ones are visible), things improved — pressing a button added one player (not two), and I could finally start the game.

BUT... once in-game, I can't move the character using the gamepad.
Only the attack button (kill) works. Neither the analog stick nor the D-pad works for movement, which is strange since both worked (at least somewhat) in the menu.

I also tried the suggestion from one thread - it recommends copying XInputInterface.dll to the game folder, which I did, but it didn’t solve the issue — still no movement in-game.

Also: x360ce correctly shows all buttons being detected when testing the controller inside the app, so mapping seems fine.

Menu works, but in-game movement does not

Any help getting gamepads to fully work in this game would be really appreciated.
