Today, version 1.6c was released on Steam and it's more than a month ago now that version 1.6b has been made available there, yet the GOG team still only offers version 1.6a.

In general I really like GOG and their DRM-free policy and I'd rather buy here than on Steam. But the experience with Parkitect on GOG has been subpar so far: No workshop items, super-delayed updates. Come on GOG, at least try harder and release minor updates more quickly.

Don't get me wrong, I don't regret getting the game here. I'd rather have some inconveniences than being tied to customer hostile DRM, but those inconveniences add up.

The game itself is great and I just love it. I spent many more hours here than in Planet Coaster. Kudos to the Parkitect team! I'm always amazed at what they deliver with such a small team. And also many thanks to the modding crowd! Luckily, there are some ways to get Steam workshop items into the GOG version, but it's tedious.

Still, please GOG, reconsider your update strategy!

More often than not it's the devs' fault to provide the patch on par with Steam release date. But as stated here - and I confirm it - GOG's Parkitect patches come with very small delay compared to Steam. You may drop a line to Sebioff on Twitter about the delay.
Interesting. In my personal experience patches come with a delay pretty often (or not at all). But I didn't do any statistics and might wrongly extrapolate from the few times that this happened to me.

I don't have Twitter, so I just left a comment on their update announcement in Steam. Let's see what happens :)
Well, nothing happens. It seems we are indeed second-class customers :(

I told you, a little bit of patience helps :-) The game has been updated here to 1.6c.
Yay, new version!

Well, I wouldn't say "patience" but rather "perseverance", because I kept complaining ;)
As a Linux user I am rather a third-class-customer. Today a bunch of updates were released. On GOG, Microsoft patches are availlable up to the latest version 1.7q. With Mac it is 1.7p2 and with Linux it is 1.7p. This makes it unplayable with steam friends on the same OS, because there everything is on 1.7q. An ingame update GUI would probably really help...
