Does anybody know where the campaign trees are available? Furthermore, there are no additional hints etc. available, e.g. like different strategies regarding composition of core force, conditions for decisive victory etc. Have there never been information about this or did they just vanish from the internet?

It does appear that a lot of the information that used to be online has disappeared. These links have less information than you are probably hoping for, but perhaps they are better than nothing:

The campaign trees reported here are pretty simple, a sequence of ten missions with a few where you can choose from two options:
