Ordered PG2 (one of my all time favorites) and followed your helpful hints on the msg board to get it running. Noticed in opening page that all titles are labeled the same when mouse is scrolled over the different options. (ie Play Scenario, Play Campaign etc.) Also, in original game, when you moved the mouse pointer over a target unit, a target icon appeared with predicted odds for the outcome of the engagement. This does not happen in this version. Is there a way to fix this or is it the price of having the ability to play PG2 on a "modern" OS? Appreciate any input to help get this classic running the way it used to on my old PC.

Can't help with the technical side of setting it up but I can tell you that the game runs fine on my machine with the predicted odds and option names when you mouse over things. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium. The only glitch I've seen is that when you finish a campaign it crashes before adding the dossier to the best scores list, annoying but not the end of the world.

I agree with previous poster. My game does not have the issues you describe.
Thanks guys..appreciate the replies. On a whim, I installed PG2 on my wife's laptop and the game worked as advertised??? (Win 7 Pro 32 Bit) The only problem noted is a hestitation with the mouse with a different screen for about 10 seconds and then it moves ok I'll do some more troubleshooting after I get back from a trip later this week and advise on the results. It is good to be able to play PG2 again!!
If you're running SLI or Crossfire you could try disabling the extra video card(s)
