Yes, it's effectively a remake of Panzer General I with some improvements, rebalancing and modern display support. I especially like new maps which have much more reasonable scale.

It is really a remake of the first panzer corps with a few minor gameplay tweeks

19 features have changed and 14 are new, they are not 'few' and several are not minor!
These are excellent changes, it's maybe the best PG/PC system, but what's bad is the 3D, I would dearly prefer PC2 in the graphic engine of PC1...
