After buying and playing the excellent Pandemonium2 I wanted to play the first part again. Strangely it isnt running anymore on my machine; i hear music, can access the "windows"-Style Menu but dont see any graphics. Anyone the same problem / a solution?

GOT IT. I think. Worked for me.
Go into the Pandemonium directory. There are several exe files in there. Use the one that just says PANDY. It should work. For shits and giggles I clicked on the one below it that says PANDY3 and got the problem we've been having so evidently the shortcut roots to that one which obviously isn't doing us any good.
Thanks tinyE,
that worked for me too. I then tried to change the settings in den nglide.cfg - and then I could use the other exe too.
Best,
Dan
This solution solved it for me when trying the game on my Netbook (N470 w/ GMA3150)
Hey guys, I had the same problem when I went from windows 7 to Windows 8. All I did was set Pandy3.exe to run in windows 7 compatibility mode and run as administrator and BAM!! it now works fine :)
Hope this is of some use to someone ;)

Cheers! got it working for meself now.
Hi everyone,

though using the pandy.exe will work, you'll loose glide emulation and thereby 3D-acceleration. For me the problem was solved by installing the newest version of nglide.

I downloaded the newest version from http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide and deleted all nglide files including the glide.dll from the pandemonium directory thereby forcing the game to use the newest version. Don't forget to use the nglide configurator link in the start menu to choose your desired resolution and aspect ratio.

Wow, thank you! That worked like a charm!

I would like to use this solution, but I don't know which files to delete from the Pandemonium directory other than glide.dll and nglide_config.exe. Can you tell me what the others are?
Hi, and sorry that it took me some time to see your post.

I'm not at my gaming-PC right now, but deleting everything with "glide" in it, should do the trick. I'm not even sure it were more than those two you mentioned. Just tell me if that was enough. If not, I'll look into it, again :)
I couldn't play the damn game. I tried to ask for assistance from GOG, but they didn't do much.
Sorry for reviving an old topic, but I tried this nglide fix and it didn't work.
I also tried running the game with compatiblity mode as an administrator both on PANDY.exe and PANDY3.exe.
Currently using windows 10. Do you guys have any other suggestion?

Edit: solved by downloading the winmm.dll fix from another topic and renaming it to win32.dll, while changing the former win32.dll to win32.dll.bak
