I asked about this a few months back, but no one seemed to have an answer. I still haven't resolved the issue.


Does anyone have a solution to the save game corruption issue yet? The deleting additional saves trick DOES NOT WORK FOR ME. It's horribly irritating. I haven't played painkiller since the original because of this. No matter what I do all my saves will become corrupted somewhere between catacombs and the opera level, regardless of how many or how few save files I have in the folder.

Please, someone must have a solution to this. This bug has been around since black edition's final patch.

Reinstall doesn't help. Done it so many times.

I guess cheating to the levels is the only solution left. Or waiting for more shitty Hell & Damnation DLC to come out and paying $10 for 5 levels. Thanks anyway.

Can you tell more about this "save corruption" issue? I have completed the opera house level.

My saves become corrupted. As in any save made after a certain amount of time crashes the game if I try to load them. Seems to be a common issue without a definitive fix. A lot of people have reported that frequently clearing out their save files makes it less likely to get a corrupt save, but this doesn't work for me. Sooner or later, all saves become corrupted.
