Yeah, NecroVisioN is a totally different game. It had some cool ideas (the combat system is really deep and well implemented), but it's generally held back by poor level and enemy design.
Plus it completely switches gears four levels in (to the effect that the first four levels have nothing to do with the rest of the game beyond tenuous story connection).

well i only played the demo so far so i'm not 100% sure, but my point was simply, that i like it when games go for over the top action over realism.. and both serious sam/painkiller and necrovision do this, just in very different ways (note i treat serious sam/painkiller as one thing in that argument as the gameplay is identical)
