Downloaded Oxenfree for Mac OS, but download came through as a ;pkg file which my Mac (El Capitan) won't verify. Any ideas on how to fix are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Try to describe exactly what is happening when you try to install your game - attach a screenshot of your issue, if possible, as well as copy of your Mac system report (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203001).

The gog support is very lousy. Two times I have tried the support, but the people there have no idea about Mac OS and technical things...

Maybe you should give a try with the Gog Galaxy, it's way easier to install games that way.
