I feel like I've missed something. What's experience for? Tutorial didn't mention it, I seem to be collecting it still after 3 levels with no observable effect.

I thought I'd get upgrade points from it, but I've not noticed that.. yet anyway.

If you've been playing, you may have noticed that it gives you unlocks for challenge mode. If you haven't found this out yet, now you know.

There may or may not also be extra stuff for multiplayer which I don't know about right now.
