First of all I'm absolutely stunned that this game made it to GOG catalogue. There's just one minor issue I have. I can't seem to get Direct3D to work. The game shuts itself down every time I try to start a mission with Direct3D enabled. No problems with software mode though. So I was wondering if it is even possible to play with Direct3D mode on modern hardware, or if it's something that can't be done on modern systems?
It's not a huge issue but it would be nice to experience the game like I used to play it with my voodoo 1 card back in the day :D
Messing around with dgvoodoo helps some.

Does the game have an OpenGL mode to use instead?
Solved. Run executable as administrator

So will that make Direct3D work with the original game? Or does dgvoodoo have to be installed?
Should make it work without dgvoodoo. I've messed around with various outwars releases and dgvoodoo usually isn't necessary. Outwars is stuck at 640x480 without it tho.

Are you able to see the mouse cursor in the game? When I run the game it doesn't show at all.
This happens for some people. Try the mouse fix included in the release on the collection chamber or on the Outwars Never Dies Facebook page. I've never had that exact issue

Yeah. I don't have any problems at all. Everything is working as it should be on my computer.
Disabling full screen optimisations, run as admin and Win XP SP3 combatibility mode solved the problem for me
