I bought the GOG copy of Outward yesterday with the hope of playing co-op with a friend who has it on Steam. I downloaded Galaxy and launched the game from there.

So far neither of us have been able to invite each other to co-op. We've tried the invite to game feature in game but keep getting the "game not found message" and my friend tried direct invites from Steam itself. I even tried adding the game as a non-Steam game to my Steam library.

Also, I've synchronized my Steam account with my Galaxy account so that from within Galaxy I can see all my Steam games and friends. It even shows my friend playing Outward but doesn't give me an option to join their game, etc.

Am I doing something obviously wrong? We tried this for two hours last night with no success.
Hi there,

You might need to change the region to US (as well as your friend.) to be able to connect. Both myself and my friend had to do it and we both own this on Steam.

My friend said that they tried that last night (i.e. setting to US).

Question from within Galaxy should we have the ability to click on a Steam friend and join game (similar to Steam)?
Oh you know what, I read in another post here that the UI for GoG needs to be activated in game. Hope that helps!
Ok
Turns out that our in game region settings were the issue. Once we set them to the same it worked.

Thank you!
