Hey, there; this looks up my alley as a survival/RPG/exploration kinda game, one with consequences and thought put into it, but... I hate online play and multiplayer with a few exceptions (Dark Souls being a good example); I find any game that lets me talk to the playerbase inevitably burns me from the game.

Is the game 'always online' and do I have to play online to play single-player?
Thanks for the heads up!
I just picked this up and games are offline by default. What I don't like is the active save system.
Hmn... I'm an old soul(sborne player), so it's not a dealbreaker for me. I do feel like it's terribly overused, and often poorly at that, so I also understand how you feel. I hope the rest of it picks up for you, and thanks for answering my question!
There is an option to turn on online play so it's always offline by default and only a person with your room name can enter your game. Also if you really want to avoid online just don't use Galaxy as I believe the game is reliant on galaxy for the online function to work. I installed the game via Galaxy and just closed Galaxy. Keep in mind the shortcut the game makes by default will launch Galaxy so you'll have to make a new shortcut from the one in game folder that isn't tied to Galaxy for it to work without Galaxy launching.
