I just finished Motazaar after first finishing Shamazaar and I have the Mons from them both. I *did* get the first cut scene from Marion after finishing Shamazaar, but after getting the second Mon (and waiting around quite a while) I don't get another cut scene. The hint guide I have says that after getting the 2nd Mon I would get a cut scene and the barrier (that shoots out the lethal electricity in Shamazaar) would be disabled and I w/b able to go past that to go find Marion Wolf. Well, the barrier is still up, electrical bolts and all. I'm supposed to talk to a 'non-character' Talon and ask about 'Event', but when I do, I don't get this option. What is wrong? Please help. Using the GOG version with the latest patch from Zenger. Thanks very much.

That's weird... do you have a save game from before collecting the Mon in Motazaar? Maybe try grabbing it again and see if it triggers properly?

You won't be able to talk to Talans about the "event" unless the cutscene has triggered. They do sometimes take a little while before they trigger though... how long have you waited around? I also think you might need to be somewhere OTHER than Shamazaar in order for it to trigger, because it needs to change the map. If you're on the map the game can't adjust it to remove the barrier. So travel somewhere else, like Talanzaar, and then run around for a bit and see if it triggers. You can even go to Okasankaar or Okaar and start looking for the next Mon while you're waiting for the event to trigger.

Anyone else know what can cause these events to get held up?

hmm, seems not exactly what you are looking for. Anyway, i remember, i had the cut scenes coming on very different points of the map. Maybe it helps to stroll around a bit, or i.e. move to Talanzaar, that could help.
