First time playing the game after researching I set up my first year building 10 homes, they are now all moved in. I have forestry, coal, carpentry, blacksmith.

In the second year i arranged my farm and planted crops in rotation, avoiding plowing for now. I have crops stored at the farm, i have now built granerys in fact 2 f them. It has a manager who isnt storing anything, a windmill is growing and i now have 2 market stalls.

With all that done, why are most of my houses saying not enough food variety? and why is one of them saying running out of wood when the forestry has the wood and the farm has the food. I am missing something here unless they are too lazy to go fetch it and I am suppose to do that for them.

You have to open the menu for your buildings and start hiring villagers to staff them. With the food stalls you have to specify what items from the granery are to be sold. You need to build a trading post, staff it, and start trading with other villages in terms of goods and food to make money. The lack of any tutorial is appalling, making this a trial-and-error experience, resulting in many restarts. The "helps" with each building are barely any help at all, since they are so brief. We haven't given it a review for obvious reasons, and there have been none for many months. A very mixed bag.
Thank you for your help on that, I sort of understanding the game more, turns out in the warehouses i have more items in there than i allowed for storage at least thats how i read it. Like I had set it to 1000 and it says next to it 8000 and i was like crap i need to change my figures...

But this dopey person decided to plant more potatoes to start with so i could use the extra for trade. Which was a great idea TO START WITH, next minute all my villagers are starving and I cant work out why. All the ware house food went to the trade centre i just newly set up.

Now i am completelly lost as i need to send the food back to the warehouse not in the trade centre well not as much anyhow. I need to feed the people of the village first not the whole countryside......

I dont really want to start a brand new game or layout until i have the basics worked out and right now trade is my issue.......pfft......

Any suggestions on how to transfer my goods back and how to do small basic trade with neighbours that doesnt starve my town.......LOL
