I know that the game has now been released, but why did the choose to remove the Demo ?

Surely it serves as a marketing tool for the full game ?

Also. Why wasn't / isn't the Demo on GOG ?

AFAIK, the saves can't crossover [ENGINE limit], and thus to avoid people from playing the demo and hoping to continue off, it was deactivated.

I'm not sure that GOG allows demos per se, but even if it does, it'd be the same reason.
