Hi there,

So I decided to relive some classic games, and to my frustration appearantly the game automatically stretches the resolution to a 16:9 and does not recognize my controller.

So I would like to play the game in a non stretched resolution and with my Xbox Series X Controller. Is there any way to achieve that?

The game resolution is fixed at 640x480, so it's not the game which stretches it to fullscreen: this depends to the graphic card settings.
Different graphic cards feature different scaling options, anyway you can either disable or edit them to play the game with the correct aspect ratio.

Another possible solution is to use R.E.L.I.V.E., a port of the game engine, which has been completely rewritten in order to support modern systems and widescreen video resolutions.

Xinput controllers such as yours are not supported by old games which require DirectInput API.
You have many possible solutions:
- Using R.E.L.I.V.E. as said above (though I'm not completely sure it does support your controller);
- Using a controller compatible with DirectInput;
- Using Xidi, a tool that makes Xinput controllers compatible with DirectInput games;
- Using JoyToKey, a tool that makes your controller emulate the keyboard input.
