Is there a ini file or anyway to change the resolution of this game?
There's no resolution settings anywhere from what I've seen, not in the game nor in any .ini file. I would like to know if it's possible to change it, though. Haven't messed around with my graphics card settings yet, though.
EDIT: couldn't find anything on the nvidia control panel that would do anything about this. I also tried running the game in windowed mode, but that didn't help either. Is there anything to make this game look somewhat better on a 22" LCD monitor that's half a meter away from my eyes?

This would be nice, indeed, but unless the video card's driver can render everything at a larger resolution we're stuck to what we have. The Abe's Oddysee editorial explains how things are going.

It's about pre-rendered animations of the in-game action and that means it's not scalable. At least not for a 1997 game. :) But I like it even like this.
I think it's stuck firmly at either 640 x 480 or 800 x 600, but even so, it doesn't look half bad for a very old game.
Yeah, I just got this game off Steam, and only two real options: Scale it to full screen (preferably with aspect correct) which looks pretty bad on most flatscreens, or play it in a small 640x480 square if you disable scaling through graphics driver...
