Hi everybody! Any user out there, who got it working on Linux? Maybe via Lutris and Wine runner? Would like to give it a try...

Hi Edelstoffl, yes, we've had several people who have had success running Nox Archaist on Linux. There are a couple of different options. I'm not that familiar with Lutris, but it sounds like that would essentially be running the Windows version of the game in Wine. That should presumably work fine. The download includes both the Apple II hard drive image (HDV) and floppy disk images. So another option is to use an Apple II emulator on Linux (such as Linapple).

There are a lot of people over on the Nox Archaist discord server (discord.noxarchaist.com) who can help you get things set up. Thanks for your interest!

Just a follow on. Perhaps a better option is to run it using the "microM8" emulator. This is the same emulator that ships with the game for Mac & PC. You can download it at https://paleotronic.com/software/microm8/download/.

One user said "it may be necessary to install or update packages such as libportaudio2 and canberra-gtk-module*."
Grabbed it, tried it - working like a charm via Lutris/Wine. Simple click install and it's running out of the box!
Linux users rejoice!
Glad to hear this is working on Linux, might have to pick this up then.
