Nox Archaist was designed to run on the 40 year old Apple II computer, which had a 1mhz CPU.

The game speeds experienced in the emulated Steam version of the game are very close to what a player would experience on original Apple II hardware.

However, we realize that sometimes players want to crank of the speed.

Here is the key sequence to do that:


1) Press (and hold down) <Ctrl><Shift><W>, then release the keys after you hear a beep.
2) Then, quickly press <6> to increase speed by 800%

There are six speed increments you can choose from, just swap out the <6> in the instructions above for one of the numbers below.

<1>: 25% <4>: 200%
<2>: 50% <5>: 400%
<3>: 100% <6>: 800%
