Yes, the official servers are down, but there is a player run server that is up and working. GOG did not include the Westwood Online Components so you'll need to download it. Point it to your Nox installation (wherever all your GOG installs are. For Windows 7 64 Bit like mine should be C:\Program Files (X86)\GOG.com\NOX.) Then, just click multiplayer, make up a name and password and type them in, and you should be able to join the XWIS server.

I would like to play multiplayer NoX as well. We should set up a time so we can all log in and play some CTF or Team Deathmatch.

I'm very much interested in this, as well, as I used to love me some Nox multiplayer way back when!

A caveat, though: I was never a huge fan of PvP in online games (I'm not the most competitive of guys, unfortunately), so, if anyone ever catches me on gameranger -- same username as in here --, be aware it's probably for some sweet coop action, if that's ok.

Welcome to Nox Hardace. At the moment I'm playing NoX every night in the official XWIS server (Westwood Online) along with a few other players in the Don't Hold Back server hosted by VoDkA. There is also a reddit community here http://www.reddit.com/r/Nox/ that you can post in. I usually play during the evenings around 7-10pm EST (GMT -4) and weekends during the afternoon as well, so you're more than welcome to join us. In the reddit group there is also a Skype chat group with about 30 people who also play the game at various times. Hope to see you around!

Argh I have the original Westwood internet components- they used to work but for some reason now they are claiming my Nox installation is corrupt. I probably just have to re-install it.

No, don't reinstall. I had the same problem. Let me look for the thread that has the answer and I'll link it here. It has something to do with deleting some dashes in a registry key. It's really simple.

"This fix was found by madman88 and all credit goes to him, i'm just reposting so it's easier to find

1) Go to Start, Run... and type "Regedit" to get to the registry.

2) Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Westwood\Nox

3) Right click on the key marked "Serial" and modify it by deleting the hyphens.
