I'm not able to change the screen resolution from the default 640x480. The options are simply grayed out (see attached screenshot). It's not BAD, but I would like to see what 800x600 is like, as that seems to be what most people prefer. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks!

Just click on the resolution, not the text, but the icon on the left and the "yellow" button will go there...

Sorry for bad english, hope it works for you now.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. For whatever reason, the entire resolution dialogue box is grayed out, and no amount of clicking will get those yellow buttons to move. It's okay - I finished the game on the current resolution, so guess it wasn't that bad. But thanks for trying to help me!
I thought I had that problem too.

But then I found out that you could only change the resolution from the main menu's option screen.
If you try from within a running game, then it's grayed out, as you say.

So just do an auto-save, then press ESC and quit to the main menu.
There, change the resolution, and afterwards load from your auto-save, and enjoy the higher resolution.
Or change it when booting Nox, before loading your savegame.

ps: While some people seem to prefer the 800x600 over the 1024x768, I like the higher one better.
Mainly because the inventory, map, etc. don't cover as much of the screen, and because you can see farther.
Besides, my monitor enlarges an resolution to fit the whole screen.

You're so right, and that totally worked! Thanks so much. :-)
