Not usually a noob to RTS but I have not figured out how to earn more gold beside scouting broken down buildings? Does mining get me gold?

Mining is weird, because I finally found something I could mine, but didn't have the resources to build the building. Is there anyway to get stone besides building a building I can't build because I don't have any stone? Mining building should not require stone to build.

Longship Docks, Trading Posts, and Marketplaces can be used to generate krowns. If you're the clan of the stag, you can also generate krowns with your skalds.

Mining buildings do not require stone, they require krowns.
