Hey there,
Crossplay was supposed to be enabled this weekend, but due to a mix up on our part a new version was released early on Steam and resulted in mismatched versions on the two platforms.
We hope to resolve this today/tomorrow at the latest.
I'll keep you updated on any movements on this front :)

It works for public multiplayer games. No way to invite people or do conquest though.

Maybe it's just better to buy the steam version, if this is always a topic on gog games. Always we have to find out, if it's possible or not. Why is there no disclaimer on the shop-site, if the game is fully multiplayer-compatible with steam users.
