HypersomniacLive: The 20201015-1909 ⇒ 20201019- 049 standalone installer update was on 19 October, followed by the 20201019- 049 ⇒ 20201020- 008 one on 20 October, and on that date, per GOG's normal practice, the 20201019- 049 installer was removed.
And later on the same date, the standalone installer was updated again, 20201020- 008 ⇒ 20201021- 016, which in turn led to the removal of the 20201020- 008 one.

One has to keep close track of the updates, as removal of previous installers and patches happen with almost every update, and if one misses a patch in between, the only patch is to download and use the latest standalone installer.
What i don't understand is, why older patches are still there and a patch in between is missing. so at the moment there are 4 patches and one full installer. I needed to download the full one again. I'm now at 20201022-2327 for which there is the third oldest patch. the fourth oldest is even older (20201021-016), but there is no freaking 20201022-2327 to 20201028-509 but the second oldest begins with this one. So now there are 2 useless patches as there is no way to get from 20201022-2327 to 20201028-509. The 2 older will end as well as my older standalone.
I understand that i need to keep up with patches but i don't accept if you have 4 patches from which 2 are useless as a newer one in between is missing.
I'm writing this as i'm checking the updates and i'm totally confused now. here is only one changelog after 20201022-2327 for 20202910-1807 i guess as it is for October 29th but this time month and day is changed? Standalone installer was updated with 20201022-2327 ⇒ 20201028- 509, but there is no such patch for my standalone install. Only 1028 so October 28th?
Patches are either older than my install so the 2 useless one and 2 newer one without some in between without any mention on here? So now i have to download 1,2gb again just for 16 mb of patches? Update policies and patches are horrible as it looks like. I'm not gonna buy or recommend GoG again, as this is annoying. i have no problem with it, if i would miss more than 4 patches, but having 2 older patches which are useless und 2 patches i can't use because patches in between are missing, is at least confusing as hell for me. Also why is there the patch going from 1028 to 1011? is it November 10th now? but why is it than going back from 1011 to 2910? really aggravating.

Nevertheless thanks for having a bit of a changelog here and sorry if it is hard to keep the patches up to date here but it is really confusing and making me angry right now.

I don't use the GoG Client, so i need to do it manually. If you use the Client there are probably the regular patches, which keep it up to date. I feel like the Steam version might get updates more frequent and sooner.
In Steam you can also decide if you want to use the beta branch or the stable one. Beta could be unstable but has newer stuff earlier. Don't know if this exist with the GoG Client.

I think we may have a misunderstanding here? I'm not affiliated with GOG or the devs so have no inside knowledge about the works and logic of GOG's update system, I'm just a GOG user who took the time and trouble to post info about available changelogs and updates of standalone installers, and replied to you based on publicly available info.

Epilogue Update [Part 1/2]

Noita Epilogue update is out now. It's one of our biggest updates yet and is also going to be the last major update for Noita. The change list alone is 319 entries long. You can read the full release notes at the end of this post.

While this is the last major update for Noita, it's not going to be the End of Everything. We'll still keep an eye out for bugs and try to patch them. There is also a thriving modding scene, which is producing amazing mods for the game. And most importantly the Noita player community is more active than ever.
