I bought NMS some time ago but started playing just recently and have been to a few systems, planets and spacestations. The game have been running all find and dandy up until now. I'm on a spacestation and can't get off it. The game crashes if I stand in the hangar too long or if I fly out in space. Though it don't seem to crash if I'm quick enough and run up to the room with a shop and some aliens.

So far I've tried to verify the game and delete the shadercache. I'll try some other thing tomorrow like starting a new game and reinstalling the game.

Annoying that it starts doing this just like that and that the log isn't in plain text.

Do you have the latest patch? There was a bug whereby the game would crash if a "space battle" was in progress in your current planetary system even if you were not engaged in the battle. It happened to me (before the patch) when I was trying to mine an asteroid field and just didn't want to be bothered by the battle (needed some iron, maybe, to have enough to recharge shields). Pucketa-pucketa [Iron-7] pucketa [iron-5], pucketa ... crash! Very annoying.

Could also be a graphics driver issue. My sense is that the NVidia drivers from a year ago were more stable with NMS than the most recent releases. Unfortunately, there was a (buffer overflow?) vulnerability that was recently patched so one is kind of stuck. Might try turning down the graphics features, though, to see if that helps with stability.
Also try this:
When the 3D world appears, go quickly inside your ship and then out of it. This will write a new savegame and correct a previous corrupt one (can also happen without mods). Quit the game and restart with the new save after deleting the shader caches both in your game directory and in the 'cache' savegame folder.

As for v.1.24: After reading all stories and solutions about crashes in Steam discussions, it's best not to use the newest NVidia drivers.
