Can someone tell me how to start the game in VR with the new client? I want to avoid to go backwards to the old one.

If someone know the start parameters for it he will make me my day.

Thx

- In GOG Galaxy, click on the MORE button -> Other -> No Man's Sky (Open VR)

- Alternatively, you can launch the game without Galaxy from your Windows start menu -> No Man's Sky -> No Man's Sky (OpenVR)

- You can also create your own custom shortcut to the .exe file, then right click -> properties,
and add " -HmdEnable 1 " (without marks) behind ".../NMS.exe"

Hope this helps :)

EDIT: Ah, I get it ... not sure if it's the same in Galaxy 2.0, sorry! Have you tried the " . . . " button?

"more" button does not exist in gog galaxy 2.0... and "..." does not show that option.

The other option, to run the game outside GOG launcher, worked. Thx!!!!

Other topics, for the people who plays in VR.

The games works through SteamVR, not Oculus launcher. It is normal. Steam VR is compatible with Oculus, but Oculus is not compatible with VIVE or other VR visors.

VR game interface is incredible good. You feel as you're at the place. The way to take the pistol or use the scanner is amazing. I suggest you to modify the graphic settings.

Also, the movement. At usual on VR games I use the teleport option... the few ones who have the "standard one" give me nauseas. This not. I suggest you to configure it to "standard one". At least for me it was perfect.

Scale has completely changed for me. the world feels bigger than never.

I'm quite happy :)

Now expecting GOG to let me launch the game in 3D from their launcher. It would be cool.

Seems NMS still does not have an option to launch the game in VR through GoG Galaxy 2.0?

A command line option seems... lacking... since the game has achievements.

Where do you report these things? GOG Galaxy 2.0 has quite a few shortcomings. I actually want to switch back as it is right now, because I feel punished when I try to play this game in VR, but also it seems to lack stuff like links to forums and such. I always felt GOG was pretty bad at having easy links to the forums for each game, these forums could be much more active. But both the old and new Galaxy client does not seem to have links for the forums and if they have, they are not very obvious.

With Galaxy 2.0 it should support going to the forum of different gaming clients, like Steam... and others... does Epic even have forums for games yet? I really only use Steam and GOG, so dont know much about Origin or UPlay either.

I hope to see GOG get even better at showing the others how its done.

In the top-left corner is the wheel icon. Look there for "Problems" and "Feedback".

I will try this. Thanks :)
make a new shortcut with the -HmdEnable 1 GOG allows tons of stuff like that... If you look at my attache image Ive made a launcher icon for Skyrim SKSE which doesnt exist so i mad it myself... i have launcher for a ton of games that are not supported by Galaxy because they let you execute any EXE with any argument you want.. HELL i can make one for the calculator if i wanted!

I'm playing this game with Samsung WMR without any issue. Just lunching via NMS (Open VR) shortcut. The game is apparently using Steam VR, so you may need to have this installed prior.
The only problem I had was no response to the keyboard when wanted to walk. I had to change movement type from teleport to walking in-game settings - controls.
After installing the game and or registering it in Galaxy check the start menu in No Man Sky [GoG] it may have installed a No Man's Sky (open VR) shortcut.
Now it has proper VR support where it will even support achievements and everything because it now supports alternative launchers.
Good to hear VR is working at GoG.com.

I'm waiting for the next good sale >1/2 off and we'll give it a go.
