Well it has been confirmed that NMS will be compatible with VR, but this could also mean that it is just going to use the PSVR Cinematic mode(and the OR/Vive equivalent modes) and no "real" VR :/
We will see...still cannot wait for June.

On a side note, Sean has mentioned he is very interested in seeing the game with VR, but at the moment they spend all their time on getting the game finished and launched.
After that, they have some time to see how VR could be implemented. It's gonna be an interesting journey :-)

Also, Cobra is usually very careful with this kind of stuff, but he got a bit caught up in the hype i guess :-p
