Released yesterday (Aug 27, 2025), now available on GoG.

Now that was a very quick version change indeed ? Version 5.x feels like it was published yesterday. Indeed it was only a little more than a year ago (Jul 17, 2024).

There is a new spaceship type "Corvette" that apparently can transport multiple players in a multiplayer session. It also can apparently be customized much, much more than previous ships.

I looked more into it and yes its actually a Starfield inspired spaceship designer. Apparently you can now make spaceships that are larger than even Haulers, because for example space stations have new landing slots just for Corvettes now.

Are any of you getting experiments updates? It seems non of these are pushed to GOG lately.

Seems my GOG Galaxy wont detect it. I am still getting "no updates found". I tried verifying the installation, but then it never got anywhere and I cancelled it after being at 3% for 2 hours.

So my last update was August 10th. I will try on my other computer. On Steam I have the update already. I tried doing some searches, but not seeing anything about the update having been delayed for GOG. Maybe they pulled the update back?

Several years ago GOG and Hello Games decided that GOG users were no longer worthy of participating in 3xperimental. This was discussed several times in this forum but those posts were from several years ago.

I received a response from GOG support confirming that this was a joint decision.

I kinda skipped several updates since I kinda got bored with the dude avatars at one point; did they added some feminine bodytypes to the mix yet? On first glance they added a lot intersting stuff in general; but from skimming it I did not saw an expansion of the player character shapes/suits.

Well I dont want to spoil the main story of NMS - but there is a reason why there is no gender in this game.

Also of course it halves the number of body models they had to make for NMS. Not unimportant for this company, since their resources are clearly limited - and it shows.

I mean back when I dm'd D&D I was pretty good at making up shit on the fly for stuff I did not wanted to be botherd with doing; pretty much the same here :P

I'm ok if they add a additional no-gender body that looks female to all the no-gender bodys that look male (or out of shape enough to be considered both) they already have; And with what they have released between last I played and now so far there is no resource problem to do that; merely a want problem.

It still needs a lot of fixing, too much for my liking. Now I remember why I stopped playing after expedition 14. Quantity over quality has ruined NMS for me.
