Prior to the expedition there was an 18+ gb update and the next day GOG galaxy made me download and install a 2nd 18+ gb update. After the 2nd download and install it took something around 15 mins for the game to load. I thought that was a one off thing - something to do with the update. Trying to start the game this morning and it's already taken 14 mins of the opening star screen. Anyone else having this aggravation? Is it an expedition bug or have others had this issue previously? If so is there a solution? (It's now been going for 17 mins - hooray the actual just started!
