Does gog and steam have separated online communities?, or is all together, even ps4?

Can you visit planets discovered by other people? or at least see them or have the coordinates? can you discover something nice and post some coords and people will get there? if they can of course.

I've been wondering about this as well, would love to hear an answer. I'll probably go with GOG over Steam, but if GOG won't have any of the online aspects, I might be a bit tempted to go with Steam. Though DRM free still might win out.

It wouldn't surprise me if online functionality was optional and goes through Galaxy, but that's just a guess.

And yes you can eventually come to planet others already have discovered and named but meeting is almost impossible.

If you get someone in your same shard on planet your on you won't be able to talk or get any info on the other player only interaction is probably shoot with weapon.

So multi is not present.
