Version 3.5, Prisms, has been released. It was a 1.49 GB update that went very rapidly for me.

Patch notes posted in Changelog.

The big change was DLSS for those with the RTX cards with a long list of fixes and changes which included:
• Adding a new station in the Nexus.
• Clearing out the extinct bug for most of the underwater crab creatures (not sure if this fixes old problems with discoveries or the inability to find the missing common underwater creature which is rumored to also be a crab).
• Fixes some of the bugs with claiming the Normandy.
• Bases on Freighters now automatically transfer if switching to a new freighter.
• Stupid fix (in my opinion) to make low flying creatures pets.

EDIT: I don't think that the leaping planetary tapeworms are included as a pet.

Waiting for HG to add water fowl, now that they've implemented some flying critters that can land on the ground.

And really wish they'd add predatory flying creatures. Although ... maybe I should be careful what I wish for. Death from above, and all that. ;-)

Prism seems to be running okay here, Win10 and an Nvidia 1660 -- nothing special.

Visit a bubble planet for some interesting refraction effects.

Kind of agree with you on the flying predatory creatures. I am not either an ornithologist or paleontologist but do not recall that any flying creatures, especially avians, are vegan so usually are predators or scavengers.

I have not gone back to look but some systems that I recently visited no longer have planets with a creature being listed as extinct so one might be able to complete those, if desired. I hope to go back to some of those in the not so distant future to see if the extinct fix worked retroactively including not just planets with "extinct" but also some where the final common underwater creature could not be found.

The space station looks spiffier but no idea yet of how to obtain a Station Override or what the Station Core station actually does except to mimic Kevin Bacon saying that "remain calm, all is well, all is well."

FWIW, the Atlas (?) text at that new console in the space stations can be "translated." Haven't visited enough, yet, to see whether it changes, system to system.
Some of the things noted in the full patch notes affected and/or annoyed me, so I'm glad to see them addressed in Prisms.

Yet, I am wary to patch right up. Seems to me that each major version number patch has needed a soon-after minor "patch patch" to alleviate some newly-introduced bugs. - which are sometimes game and/or save-file "breaking".

OTOH, I am anxious to check out those patched items that have affected me...

I'll wait a bit, but might take the bait sooner than usual...

[Edit]: So... crash and lockup reports are beginning to trickle in on the steam forum. Maybe I wait...

I have no clue either, maybe its something coming in a future update / Expedition (though I cant see it being something in a time limited expedition as its a permanent looking thing it would be unfair for a lot of players to miss out on unlocking it).

The percentage for Flight Management always seems to be 95%, this cant be anything to do with NPC starships flying in through the walls of the station entrance can it?. That flight path bug has been a thing since the Vulkan update, but out of all my reports to zendesk around that time this bug is the only one still to be fixed, maybe its awkward to fix giving other knock on effect problems, so needs a reason to have some kind of reset .. just a wild stab in the dark.

For what little it may be worth there is a code used on the Station Core display panel. Haven't looked to see if this code is used elsewhere but probably is since someone might have needed more characters to decode the symbols. Didn't have any luck in the fast search that I tried.

Station Status: Nominal
System AI mode: Slumber
Someone has been working on the alphabet of the same (I think its the same anyway, that console is a bit too small for my eyes so I haven't bothered trying to decipher it) ..

https://nmscd.github.io/expedition-alphabet/#/alphabet
In a german Forum has a User this thing solved:

STATION STATUS: NOMINAL

SYSTEM AI MODE: SLUMBER

The other lines are "ERROR" ONLINE "ONLINE".

Helpfully? ;-)
