Hello,
I want to buy No Man's Sky for PC (I already own both ps4 versions - day 1 and beyond) and I was wondering how GOG version goes. For example if I buy the game it will be updated full or will I be able to chose between manual updates? It may sound stupid, but I would prefer to play game with only Atlas Rises update. Thing is that they've changed so much of the game and even if I love game with beyond patch, I kinda dislike planets themselves. I'm about planet exploration, and as far it goes NMS planets we're most beautiful in Atlas Rises patch (the colour pallet was amazing as in after Next update it became very brownish and realistic like).

Thank you for answer,
Richard

GOG no longer keeps all of the files available to be able to go very far back. I do not know if GOG will make older versions available to a new purchaser.

If you use off-line installers you will have the option to update or not.

If you use the Galaxy client then you will have to change the settings to disable automatic update. Without galaxy your uploads will not go to the Hello Games servers so you will not have credit for discoveries meaning that the next person that comes along can receive that credit. It also used to make a difference in terms of rewards (credits or nanites now) where if you uploaded the discovery to Hello Games then you received a reward. Don't know if they still do that but suspect that it would continue.

Good Luck

Appreciate the answer. Well that's quite sad news... Actually I don't care about online support, I just like to explore by myself. As I mentioned before I have Beyond version for ps4 so I can play online no problem, but I love graphics in older versions more, even without major additions like quests and online.

Thanks
