they respond with this cheesy stuff to all questions:

Hello !!

First of all, we are thankful for all your love, support and affection towards our dream project ‘No Man’s Sky’. At the same time, if you have mailed out support address, we are extremely sorry for any issues you are facing playing our game.

Please be assured that we are working literally around the clock to resolve the most critical issues for players. We are collating all the data and support requests you have sent, and it is helping us to develop fixes. Sincerely thank you for your help.

Many people have waited so long to play the game, and we know how frustrating it can be to have problems. We hear you, and we humbly request you to wait a bit longer as we try to get these fixes tested and rolled out soon.

A patch for both PC and PS4 will be released this week. These will fix the most urgent and critical issues for all our players. Then next week another patch for PS4 and PC will be released which will help to improve the experience further for players. We will keep you updated.

In the meantime, please find a list of the most common issues and workarounds here:
http://www.no-mans-sky.com/support/

No Man’s Sky is a vast journey, we intend to continually update and improve this game and we look forward to working with you to provide the best gameplay experience we can.

Thank you for understanding,
Hello Games

question should be:
what makes steam users special?
answers:
they have community with the devs on steam
they get experimental branch
they are exclusively mentioned here:

we paid the same money
Steam players have 3 or 4 patchs already, and us 1, in beta.

I can understand they take care of the place they do more sells, but they obviously don't care about us right now.

exactly my thoughts
Just request a refund. At this point I have no faith that GOG can deliver even one update, let alone the numerous updates it's going to take to get this game running properly. We paid the same money as Steam users, but get almost no support whatsoever. Shamfur dispray!

Maybe it doesn't run as well on steam. Also we already have version 2. 0010.

Maybe this is because I actually can RUN the game on a computer (older laptop instead of my brand new one, but I still can at least run it), but I'd rather have a good and well tested patch then one that is still experimental.

I get jerky frames per second instead of it being smooth all the time, but it's doable/playable. I'd rather deal with that than a patch that might do crazier things if not tested out on the beta applicants first.

I'm patient and can live with what I have right now at least.

no. we have 1.03. You're looking at the wrong number.

If anything, their largest user base is on Steam, and since it's easy to push patches to Steam, they're fixing everything in a controlled environment, and once that is working they'll work on making the release work on the gog version.

Jeez, enough with the "THEY JUST DON"T LIKE US" stuff.

If I was a dev, that's EXACTLY what I'd do, use the place with the most players, so I can get the most feedback for Players using ONE Online distribution, such as Steam.
Once it worked, I know I could just remove the Steam stuff, and say, ok Gog guys, have at it

I'd much rather have them move forward with a common focus, rather than to be running around between two different systems, with people giving "oh-so helpful" feedback like "It don't work!"

However, they chose to allow sales through GoG. They didn't have to do that. They are their own publisher.. they could have limited to Steam only. It was their choice. Now that they have all the money, they only care about Steam. That's bad even simply from an ethical point of view.

Have you seen the community here lol?
There is no such thing as moderators here.

For patches...
That is cause EVERYTHING that touches your computer here you can bet went through the hands of GOG... they examine everything.

if it was as simple as uploading to gog for the dev they would just make ant script to do it.
no work at all... just automated.

you might be naive... to what tools developers use... but not everyone is.
