Trying to pick up an object to move it. I noticed when you highlight the object it shows you the mouse 3 button to pick up.
I have tried the mouse wheel since it is the only other button that can be mouse 3. It wants to destroy it not move it. I have tried to change the button but my choice stays red in the box as if to mean not an allowed key. So my question is How the frick do you move an object in the PC GOG version? Thanks to those that answer ;)

The short answer is, "you don't." You don't move objects. In general, you destroy and then rebuild.

The above is true whether you're trying to move an object such as, for example, a technology in your multi-tool, or move an object constructed in your base. Once built, objects cannot be moved unless they're destroyed and then rebuilt in their new location. Most of the time you'll get either all or most of the materials back from destroying the objects so you can rebuild them at little to no cost, but that is not always the case (i.e., there are some exceptions to this general rule).

Can you be more precise on what type of object you're trying to move?
