The main thing to know, is that if you have been happily playing NMS with mouse/keyboard, like me, , you now need a controller for the building features. Hello games did not instigate a keyboard/mouse system, like even Bethesda did for Fallout 4!

I have built my base and gone through all the quests "If you want to call them that" and I did not use a controller other then mouse and keyboard. What building features are you not able to use ?

The new rotation dial up menu, thru keybind, x. It times out, at untimely moments for us noncontroller users, who try to use it, to circumvent exopack inventory manipulation, during combat, and other stressful time life threatening encounters. When time and actions are of the upmost importance, openning a screen wide view of the exopack, can lead to dreadful things. This new features is bad, Ill agree. It usually takes me six attemts to summon my freighter, solely because I use a keyboard. And while I do suck as a twitch player, this statistic during untwitchplay is much worse.

I havent played thru 1.1 yet, but the feature to have that rotary dial menu, timeout, on its own is bad. An ESC click, should close it. I also noticed it gobbles up the whole stack of shields, when used for ship deflector ship refueling. Quite a resource loss, now that 20 platinum is req to make them.
