Any way of possibly being able to play GoG and Steam NMS multiplayer?

Each time it goes on sale I really want to buy it, but procrastinate about buying in on GoG which I prefer, or on Steam, which actually has people playing multiplayer. And then it goes off sale and I say ok, hopefully they get it together next update / sale and I'll buy it then haha. It's on sale on both right now x.x

Any GoG staff, please put another +1 request to Hello Games to make it possible for GoG and Steam friends to happily co-exist in NMS, if that is what is needed ?

Or will the new Galaxy client perhaps make that magically work?

Hope to buy on GoG and play multiplayer soon !!! Would be good to know while it's still on sale if so =]

I purchased the GOG game this very day, because I am interested in what No Man's Sky has to offer, and certainly enjoy some solo experience.

But it'd be great if we could have cross-platform multiplayer. To be honest, I thought it'd be included with the GOG Galaxy client, as it was one of the advertised features, but was disappointed to see it isn't implemented (yet?) for this ghame.

So I'll post here to show support to the idea- we would really love if the boundaries were broken, and all PC users could play together :P
