I fully expect GOG to be the last platform to get the "Beyond" update(by several hours), and I would not be surprised if we get a similar message like we did when "Next" launched telling us after the fact that we were not getting multiplayer for the foreseeable future. Only this time, it will be that GoG players are not getting VR support.

Pessimistic? Yes. Open to be proven wrong? Definitely. I'm just not holding my breath.
I really doubt they could push this update without VR support. It seems like it's well baked into the update. There also would be no reason for hollowing it out, none at all. Don't forget that SteamVR is OpenVR, and does not require the base steam client to be running to work.

But yes, I wouldn't be surpised if the update were later on GOG.
PS4 began to push the update about 15 minutes ago.
