Hello,

I have a Lenovo explorer (WMR Windows Mixed Reality headset) and I bought the NMS (No Man's sky) on GOG for play in VR only.

After some issues, I am now able to start the game with the steamVR launcher.

The mouse work (for load the first level) and the graphics are pleasants.

But impossible to do anything with the controller buttons. The movements of the controller works.

I have read SteamVR choose htc vive headset by default and there is a fix to bind the buttons for wmr controllers. It's in the the preferences of the steamvr application. But you have the game in the list only if you bought the game on steam. I haven't see an option to add a custom game in the list.

No ?

I hope somebody can help me to play the game on the WMR because tje immersion was very great !

Thanks
If you're in the Stam library, you'll see an "Add Game" button in the bottom left. That'll give you a pop-up menu including "Add a non-Steam game...". You can use that to add No Man's Sky to your games.

But I've done this and don't see the same options for controller profiles that are in the online tutorials, so it may be that they're only available for Steam purchases.

Look for both "No Man's Sky" and "NMS.exe".

PseudoVive is also supposed to help. But i can't post a link so search for it on GitHub.
Yes it's good to add manually application to steamVR.

You must add an NMS.exe to steam and after you must open the properties of this game to change it to VR Game.

After that, it appear in the list of SteamVR. And you can change the controller to WMR.

But when I launch from steam I have no image on the headset (and an pixel image on the PC).
If I launch from gog, it works but the buttons controllers not work

I have install 2vive in steamVR drivers and change the controlelr to vive on the game option of SteamVR.

But nothing, controls are disabled.

I have tried to test WMR public configuration but nothing...

I think when you launch the game (in VR) from gog, SteamVR loose the controller configuration.

I am disapointed because it is just the last thing I need to play...

If you have a tutorial I am intrested :-).

Thanks

GroundSitter... thanks for that bit of info on adding a non Steam game into the Steam Library....hope this will get Reflex XTR2 (RC model flying Sim) on my PC to run in VR ok....Laurie
So,

I have bought the game on steam.

And the fix for the controllers option works great with WMR. Note I think (I'm not sure) but there are more fps with VR on gog than steam. It's unplayable. Just turn my head (like on gog) and it's catasteophic !

GTX 1060 6Go

I hope there will have a fix for gog...
There is a binding called Wea. The analog sticks do not seem to work, but it seems to make the game semi playable in WMR. You can fly around but you cant walk. You have to use your jet pack to move... I think us WMR are SOL for now and I do not understand the binding system in Steam to make my own
_ Edit... I changed it to smooth motion in the options and now it is all working.
